Monrosa Centre is a National River Sports School acknowledged by F.I.C.K., F.I.Raft., A.I.Hydro, A.I.C..
The Centre is managed by Piero Arcostanzo (P.E. teacher since 1977) and Paolo Longoni, both kayakers from unmemorial time, with the help of a qualified team of guides and instructors that offer the best safety and professional guarantees.
Since 1990 the Centre has been devoted to the promotion of all river sports, of Valsesia environment and culture, with particular regard to schools.
Since 2007 Monrosa Centre organized Sesia Rafting Games, rafting Italian students championship, an event open to all Italian schools intended to promote this sport among young people.
Rafting, kayak, hydrospeed, canyoning, and inflatable canoes are different ways to know the river and its environment without the requirement of a specific skill, being able to swim as enough.
These activities are often wrongly considered dangerous through the fault of a distorted view of some "extreme" exploits, but on the contrary they can represent a socializing, involving, instructive experience for a group of students.
