Canyoning Artogna
The Artogna stream is a large tributary on the right bank of the Sesia River, flowing through a pristine environment. To reach the entry point, you must hike up the final section of the valley for about 40 minutes, along a beautiful panoramic trail that runs along the stream from above. Along the way, you can admire the Tinaccio waterfall, one of the most impressive waterfalls along the route. After the first section, the stream gradually slopes, with several 25-meter-deep crevices creating hidden amphitheaters. This excursion encompasses all the most beautiful and thrilling features this sport has to offer: high waterfalls, natural pools, and long, adrenaline-filled slides carved into the rock by the millennia of water. Yes, activities take place even in rain. Rain doesn't prevent you from enjoying the experience on the water and can make the activity even more fun and unique. The activity will be cancelled or modified only if weather or river conditions make it unsafe. The Monrosa Rafting Center will communicate any changes to dates, times, or refunds.
Yes, but you need to choose the route that best suits your needs. Canyoning in the Sermenza River and the Sesia Adventure are designed to be an experience suitable for even the youngest visitors. Before departure, guides explain all the safety rules and accompany the group throughout the experience. Safety equipment is provided and must be worn at all times.
Due to their flexible soles, water shoes are not the best choice for river trips. For this reason, we believe closed-toe shoes are very important for participating in activities. They should be comfortable and suitable for getting wet, such as sneakers. If you don't have closed-toe sneakers to use, we have some used shoes available for customers that can be requested before the activity.
It's not recommended to bring personal electronic devices on the raft. We offer professional photography with waterproof action cameras. Photos will be available for purchase at the end of the activity.
The appointment is at our center at the booked time. It's not necessary to arrive early, but we ask that you arrive on time. If you'd like to arrive early, you're always welcome. We're located in a beautiful, large green space near the Sesia River, with a café waiting to help you while you wait.

No. During the descent into the gorge, neither diving nor sliding will ever be mandatory; only abseiling will be mandatory.
Participants are advised to have some basic water confidence, but expert swimmers aren't required. During the activity, everyone wears a life jacket and is supervised by guides.
